Rod part
PF10
PF20For rod applications, Wear Strips and Wear Rings come in two grades.
Friction coefficient
0.051Coefficient of friction for PF10 and PF20.
Max. static load
345N/mm²1Maximum static load for the PF grades.
Operating temperature
From minimum operating temperature to maximum continuous temperature (PF grades).
Water swelling
0.1%1Minimal swelling in water (PF grades, 20°C).
Wear Strip
PF10,
and PF20.
A strip wound into place at the rod. The two grades have the same load, friction and temperature ratings, but differ in PV value and density.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
What does JS TECH make?
JS TECH makes composite parts for bearings and seals in six forms: Wear Strip, Wear Ring, Bushing, Plate, Washer and Special Bearing. The Wear Strip is the most widely used.
Which material grades are available?
Three grades: CF10, PF10 and PF20. Their properties are listed in the table on this page and in the data sheet.
How do PF10 and PF20 differ?
According to the data sheet, load, friction and temperature values are the same. They differ in max. PV factor (PF10 0.22, PF20 0.25 N/mm² · m/s) and density (PF10 1.24, PF20 1.21 g/cm³).
What is the operating temperature range?
Per the data sheet, the minimum operating temperature is -40°C for all three grades. Max. continuous temperature is 120°C for PF10 and PF20 and 130°C for CF10 (140°C and 150°C intermittent).
Where are Wear Strips and Wear Rings used?
At the rod, in PF10 and PF20 grades. They sit where metal meets metal to reduce wear and extend service life.
Which industries use them?
Agricultural machinery, hydropower, marine bearings, shipping, offshore platforms and transportation equipment. The Wear Strip is used in almost every field.
Do you export?
Yes. JS TECH is an export-focused company, supplying more than ten countries across North America, Europe and Asia. The company was founded in 1996.
